Welcome to the Community Portal pages
I intend to use these pages to provide information for the site editors. That includes anyone who has an authenticated email address who wishes to add or edit existing content. This page should provide information about, or link to pages that provide information about:


  • Do's and Don't s
  • Style
  • Structure
  • Templates
  • Categories
  • Contacting administrators, bureaucrats, sysops, other editors.


To start with the above topics will be in-line sections in this page. Should any of them become too large then they should be moved to pages of their own.

Do's and Don't s

Some of these have already been defined, but to re-iterate:

  • this is a public arena for technical information. The information is provided for free in an as-is basis with no warranty implied or otherwise. If you need to discuss elements of the technical content of a page then please do so on the 'watch' page (see the watch tab at the top of each page)
  • refrain from personal comments, insults
  • DO NOT include personal information about ANYONE. I do not wish to be called on by the Data Protection police!
  • Personal opinion must be indicated as such
  • Do feel free to get in touch with questions comments about this site &/or its content
  • Do keep 'it' on topic
  • Do follow the guidelines where they exist. If they do not exist, please get in touch.

Style

  • Observe the KISS principle - Keep It Simple Stupid! (no, not black and white make-up and platform shoes!)
  • Passing technical information almost always benefits from concise (but not necessarily terse) descriptions, diagrams and tables.
